Purr-some Creations: Whipping Up Delightful Do-It-Yourself Cat Treats within Your House

The fact that cats will look up at you with those lasers they have for eyes, knowing they’re thinking about cat treats, is one of those pixie-dust moments-just perfectly guilty to share with your feline roommate. Homemade Cat treats are an adventure full of laughter; maybe chaos, but most of all, love. Hold your whisk, and here it comes: some purr-fect snacks!

Ever heard a cat exclaim, “Hey, Roger, do you have any snacks?” Probably not, but wouldn’t it be wild if they could? Let’s dive into the flavors they crave, starting out with the classic: tuna bites. Imagine biting into a donut—full of delight, with just a hint of witchcraft. That’s tuna bites for your cat, minus the sprinkles! Just mix a can of tuna in oil with some oat flour, shaped into small bites and baked at 350°F for 10 minutes. Serve them, and watch your furry critter gobble them up with an “I’ve just won the lottery” kind of glee!

Now, to the furballs who despise swimming but drool on account of fish: salmon crackers. Canned salmon on a crunchy voyage, you say? Well, yes! Mix canned salmon with egg, a whisper of olive oil, and a sprinkle of catnip. Roll out the dough as if you were doing some kind of ancient pizza thing, cut into teensy squares, and bake. The next ten minutes, the mayhem from their growing excitement is well worth the treat.

How about chicken? Cats are little devils when it comes to chicken. So, chicken jerky is in order! Only, we’re doing classy jerky. Slice the chicken breast thin, akin to preparing for the feline counterpart of a five-course dinner. Take those slices and bake them in a very slow, 200°F oven until crispy-these are good for days, much like having a bowl of potato chips available during a game night. Your cat will worship you, at any rate, until dinner.
